About IT Program

Department of Computer Engineering is offering Informatics Master Program since 1999-2000 Fall semester. Aim of the program is to provide qualified personnel for the needs of Computer Engineering and Software Engineering fields as well as to train students who plan to have an academic career in universities. Program content has been constituted accordingly. The students fulfilling the graduation requirements are granted the degree of Master of Science in Informatics.

A student is required to successfully complete a minimum of 7 courses, not less than 52,5 ECTS credits, take the required seminar and the Field Specialization courses and write and defend a Master’s Thesis, have a minimum GPA of 2.50/4.00 and no letter grades lower than CC, YT and no YZ, DZ grades.

In case of the program without thesis, a student is required to successfully complete a minimum of 10 courses, not less than 75 ECTS credits and complete a term project, have a minimum GPA of 2.50/4.00 and no letter grades lower than CC and YT.
